But I don’t have any money to pay for one. I’m not good at visual assets for games myself and I need help. If you’re a good artist and want to help me out and have your art be in the game I would love you could contact me. I can’t pay you now but I plan to pay you with whatever money Alternate makes. I’ll give you 20% of its earnings in the first month after its initial release. (Price is negotiable).
Please reblog! I really want my first major game project off the ground!
So as the title says I need a pixel art artist for my game Alternate. Problem is I don’t have money. I do plan to sell the game and depending on how the sales go could pay you afterwards. This is my first original game and I really want it to be good. So if you’re a relatively cheap pixel artist please message me and we could try to work out a deal. You’ll be given full credit for you work.
Thanks.

(Reblogs would be nice)
Hey friend
About notes and art
It’s okay to want to get notes on your art. It’s okay to want your art to be reblogged. As long as you aren’t guilt tripping people into reblogging it, you’re fine.
Wanting your art to get notes doesn’t mean that youre going to slip into this mentality that the notes on your art equals it’s worth.
It simply just means you want your art to get exposed! That’s all. What’s wrong with wanting your art exposed? I mean, heck, if I drew something I am proud of I’d want it to get around to!
That isn’t necessarily a bad thing you know!
It isn’t guilt tripping to want people to reblog your art nor is it to want your stuff to get more notes. It’s only guilt tripping if it’s like “ if you dont reblog this you are scum ” or “ if you dont reblog this I will [insert something that causes harm to self] ”
If you want to draw fanart to get followers and notes, go ahead.
If you want to draw your own stuff, go ahead.
I’m going to be honest here. Likes are not as good as reblogs.
Why?Likes means it indicates someone saw it. That’s it. One person. One like, one person.
Reblogs means one person saw it AND is sharing it to their blog and people who follows them, and if THOSE people reblog, they show THEIR followers, and then THEIR followers- you get the point.
While it is true that Likes are not as good as Reblogs, you shouldn’t focus on getting notes for your art.
Like…say. You made a drawing. It got notes. Hooray!
but you shouldn’t be like “ I’m going to make art because I want more notes! ”
it should be more of an after you draw kind of thing. It’s natural for people to look at their work after they are done and think “ Man I hope this gets exposed ”. but you shouldn’t make art and while doing it in the process think; “ I NEED NOTES I NEED NOTES I NEEEEEED IT ”
So basically
Likes are not as good as reblogs in terms of exposureIts okay to want notes/exposure
Its not okay to guilt trip for notes/exposure
It’s not okay to make art for the sole purpose of getting notes/exposure
Make art for the sake of making art. Appreciate notes. Encourage reblogs. Don’t guilt trip for reblogs. Help artists out, reblog for them. Likes are discouraged because of it’s limited effects.

Honestly, Deo needs more credit for the amazing drawings they do, how they deal with art thieves, and all the hate they get. They’re honestly a rolemodel too me and really deserve more love.
whaaaaaaat?
I love your art. It’s amazing. You are an excellent artist. I hope some day to see you have your own animated show and I’ll be like: “I followed them on Tumblr”
Tumblr is going to delete all NSFW content on the website starting on December 17, inevitably banning countless artists who have posted NSFW art, writers who write NSFW stories, and generally ruining the website completely.
In solidarity with the artists whose digital profiles will be erased, MSPA Prophet will cease to make any further posts if this policy is enacted.
But for the final series of posts: If you’re an artist who’s leaving Tumblr because of the policy change, submit this blog a (SFW) post with your art and a link to other social media profiles where we can find your work! Knowing where to find you after this site completely collapses is the important part.
Homestuck artists are of course very encouraged, but any art is welcome. See you for the next two weeks before Tumblr turns to complete garbage.

I need to learn how to do better lineart. I’ve been trying to figure out how people do such SMOOTH lineart. They just make a line and it’s immediately perfect??????
teach me you wonderful art gods
-cough- photoshop -cough- it’s good for digital art -cough-
-cough- illustrator also works because it’s vector based not pixel based which means you can zoom in as much as you want and it won’t look all pixelated -cough-
